Overview
Arrive in Kathmandu, the vibrant heart of Nepal. Explore the historical wonders of Durbar Square, where ancient architecture meets rich culture. Visit the serene Boudhanath temple, one of the largest stupas in the world, and soak in the peaceful atmosphere. Then, embark on an unforgettable trek to Annapurna Base Camp, surrounded by stunning mountain vistas, including some of the worlds highest peaks and the beauty of nature.
Finally, visit Chitwan National Park, is renowned for its rich biodiversity, boasting 68 mammal species, 544 bird species, and numerous reptiles and fish. Key highlights include the Bengal tiger, one-horned rhinoceros, and Asian elephant, often referred to as the "Big 6" along with leopard, sloth bear, and gaur. Chitwan also supports a significant population of gharials, a critically endangered species of crocodile.
This adventure makes for a truly unforgettable experience.
Transfer to Hotel Dusit Princess
After breakfast, we commence our visits to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites beginning within the Kathmandu District. These sites include Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Bouddhanath.
Welcome dinner.
We take an early morning flight to Pokhara, the beautiful lake city and catch great views of the Himalayas from the right side of our airplane. After landing in We drive to Naya Pul (1 hour and 20 minutes) and start the trek. From Birethanti, we trek to Ghandruk, a beautiful village mostly inhabited by the Gurung community. If time permits, we also visit the Gurung museum today. Overnight in Ghandruk.
At this juncture, we climb up for around an hour up to Kimrungdanda. On the way, we can enjoy great views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Fishtail Mountain (Machhapuchhre) and Ganggapurna. A steep descent takes us to the Kimrong Khola. After another steep ascent from Kimrong Khola to Chere Danda, we descend for a while and then it’s a gentle walk to Chhomrong. Chhomrong is a beautiful village located on the lap of the giant Annapurna massive. Overnight in Chhomrong.

We descend via 2500 stone steps and cross the bridge above Chhomrong Khola. From here it is an uphill climb to Sinuwa. Next, we pass through a beautiful forest to Kuldihar followed by an easy downhill walk to Bamboo. Overnight in Bamboo.

We pass through a bamboo forest which is damp and cold then ascend steadily with a few steep sections. It is only after reaching Himalaya Hotel that the forest opens up and we are out in the sun again with astounding views of the glacial river below. It is a steep climb up through a much drier forest before reaching Hinku Cave. From here we can see the trail drop closer to the river before climbing again to Deurali, the most scenic stretch of the day. The vegetation is sparser, allowing magical views of the valley, the river below, and the sheer rock-face cliffs above with bands of wispy waterfalls. Overnight in Deurali.

We continue to ascend through forest sometime steeply and eventually reach a rock overhang known as Hinku Cave (2960m). We are now above the tree line and follow the rock-strewn trial along the west wall of the valley, which has now widened considerably. The trail continues to ascend to reach the site of the 1957 British Machhapuchhare Base Camp.

We make an early start and ascend along the moraine, ridge the Sanctuary. There are tremendous views of the near-vertical south face of Annapurna that towers above the sanctuary to the northwest.

From Bamboo, it is an uphill trek to Kuldighar followed by a downhill walk to Chhomrong Khola. Then we climb the stone steps to Chhomrong. The trail then descends to Jhinu Danda, where we will be resting for the night. Today we will have an opportunity to enjoy the hot springs which is just a 15-20 minute downhill walk from Jhinu Danda to soothe our aching body. Overnight in Jhinu Danda.

On our way to Naya Pul from Jhinu Danda, we get to enjoy the amazing hill landscape of western Nepal. We have lunch on the way. Our trek will end at Naya Pul where we board our vehicle to Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.
*If the road construction connecting Jhinu Danda to Naya Pul is complete, driving from Jhinu Danda to Pokhara could be another option.

We will fly from Pokhara to Bharatpur Airport where we take the van for an hour the Chitwan National Park, the first national park of Nepal, established in 1973. There are more than 43 species of mammals in the park. The park is especially renowned for its protection of the endangered one- horned rhinoceros, tiger, and gharial crocodile along with many other common species of wild animal. On reaching the resort in the National Park, our Guest Relations Officer will brief guests after which you will be participating in jungle walk, nature walk with boat ride and dinner will be ready at about 8pm. Overnight at a hotel.
An early morning wake-up call followed by tea/coffee. The early morning tour provides you one of the best times to see the wildlife at its best with bird watching, jungle walk. After breakfast a 45-minute walk through the grassland and forest upstream of the Narayani River. Climb aboard the local boats to observe crocodiles along the banks while floating back to the camp to enjoy lunch. Late afternoon a guide will take you for elephant safari and jungle walk, visit the observation tower, nature walk with boat ride, back to the camp and have dinner. Overnight at a hotel.
You will have the evening for leisure and some rest in Kathmandu. You may want to stroll along the streets and visit the Narayanhiti Palace Museum at the heart of the city, or perhaps do some shopping. Overnight at a hotel.

Q. Is the accommodation listed in the itinerary guaranteed?
A. While we endeavour to ensure that the accommodation listed on the itinerary will be where you stay, open occasion it may be necessary to switch to an alternative.
When this happens we work hard to ensure that the alternative accommodation is of the same or a better standard, that it's location is close to the original destination, and that the overall impact is minimised in every way.
Accommodation details will be finalised and shared close to the trip departure (4-6 weeks in advance), however remains subject to change up to and following departure.
Q. How challenging are the treks / hikes?
A. We have graded this trip as a Level 5.

This trip is considered suitable for individuals with very high fitness and many years of trail trekking experience. With key points including:
The terrain involves steep trails, uneven paths, and very sustained walking
Duration of Trek: 7-10 hours of walking per day on multi days treks of at least + 1 week
Physical Requirements: Very high fitness; ability to walk continuously for extended periods
You / your party members should be comfortable carrying your personal possessions required for the day in a rucksack, which might include items such as:
A water bottle 2L
Camera / phone / electronics
Warm top / sun hat / sun cream
Any other items you would want to access while out for the day.

Q. Do I have to do the planned activities, every day?
A. Not necessarily. Clients can request a 'rest day' or perhaps the opportunity to break from the scheduled itinerary, although when that day can land will entirely depend on the itinerary and other considerations from the trip leaders.
In all cases we will work with guests to best accommodate their request.
